In these economic times, you might be better off turning your credit cards into art. Or jewelry. Or clothing. Cooked Brains has assembled a bunch of inspirational ideas to get your creative juices flowing. I love the mosaic above, but this bracelet it pretty cool too.

You know that's one thing I never thought of collecting Mave. And to think of all the plastic I could already have to make art with if I'd only thought to apply for all those offers I get in the mail. I only have two charge cards. Ones for travel and the other is for discounts at the store we always shopped at for our daughter's school clothes so we could get discounts. You get offers that other customers don't get so we figured it was worth it.

Funny thing is, now that I know about these cool ideas, that six years ago when we moved here we decided to be very careful who we gave our address to so we no longer get charge offers in the mail. Bummer! LOL Guess I'll have to start saving our outdated ones so in a couple hundred years I'll have enough to make something cool with. ;-)

I used to know a guy who actually collected them. He applied for every credit card he could. He carried maybe 10 in his wallet, but he had a bunch more at home. The funny thing was, he didn't have a credit problem!

As neat as these and the ones on the website are, and they are very neat, I'm glad I don't have enough credit cards to make things with. Gesssh, that's a lot of plastic. LOL
