Wood Slice Walkway

By DIY Maven

created at: 2009-09-28

Katy spotted this wood slice walkway earlier this spring at the Portland (Maine) Flower Show. I'm not sure if it would actually work in Maine--or where I live--where the frost line can be anywhere from 3 to 5 feet, but, man, do I love the look of it! You can read a bit more about it at Katy's website.

Saddly enough, we have close to a dozen pine trees on our land that need to be cut down because of a disease that's going through our area. I'll have to find out if I can use the trunks to make a walkway without further harm to the remaining healthy trees. This is awesome looking!
