Chalk Cloth

Chalkboard CLOTH. Just thinking about such a product gets the creative juices flowing. (Using it to make a door sign like the one pictured above would be darling, but using it to fashion simple tablecloths and placemats would be great too.) You can find it at Haberman Fabrics for about 13 bucks a a yard.
