Making Red-Eye Work

By DIY Maven

Agnes Geoffray

Photographer Agnes Geoffray's images of people can be spooky. Especially when she takes them at night and lets the subjects' eyes do that red-eye thing. Of course, in this case, because the photos aren't in color, their eyes don't look red; they look absent.

You are so right about that Maven. The funny thing is just now as I scrolled down on the main page when I saw the kids in the bed it made me laugh. Maybe that's cause I just got home from work and I'm beat! You know how when you are tired everything seems funny? Well I think that's the case right now.

The rest are still creeping me out though. I have some I took of our late, but precious, Maggie Doggie with her eyes glowing with a full moon in the background that I love. But then their of Maggie. She could never look creepy. I tried to add one to this post, but it's not going to happen. Too slow.

Hey DM. I wouldn't doubt that that emotional response that you are having is probably what the artist was was trying to evoke. If so, they're very successful photographs. ;)

No offence to those of you that love this part of Halloween. I've just never liked to be scared out of my wits. I like happy thoughts and cute costumes. Ha ha ha. To each his/her own!

These are the sickest photos I've every seen. I'd hate to know what's inside that woman's mind to even think of taking this type of photo. But then I'm not one to like that part of halloween. Yucky. Creepy. Scary. No thank you.

The bunk bed one reminded me of an asylum.

For some reason the cross above the bed makes it extra creepy.....very exorcist-like.  These are great ideas for Halloween!
