How to Size Down Large T-Shirts

By DIY Maven

Tiny tees! Girls love them, but finding one with graphics you'd actually like to sport can be challenging. And don't even get me started on those tees parents bring back from vay-kay that are like 5 times too big, which more often than not are relegated to sleep-tee status. Cut Out and Keep has a great little how-to showing us how to deal with our tiny tee envy. It's all about altering!

What you'll need for the project:

  • a too-big tee
  • a tee that fits you perfectly
  • chalk
  • a scissors
  • a sewing machine, thread, etc.
  • this link

If I were to do this, I would definitely use a stretch stitch on my sewing machine so the new seams have 'give'.

I used to do this with skirts.

Wow!  Nice!  Why have I never thought to do this?  I may have just doubled my wardrobe after reading this post.  Thanks!
