How to make and decorate with magazine reeds.

By DIY Maven

Tightly rolled magazine pages make gorgeous reeds, which you can use to cover all kinds of things.

Diane at CraftStylish puts old magazines to good use by turning their pages into reeds. Although she shows us how to make a magazine reed box, she tells us that the reeds can be used to decorate a myriad of things.

To make one box, you'll need....

  • magazine pages
  • 2 bamboo skewers
  • glue stick
  • ruler
  • pencil Aleene's Tacky Glue
  • damp towel
  • sharp, strong scissors
  • small box
  • Mod Podge and brush
  • this jump to Diane's tute

If the box doesn't interest you, how about a picture frame?
