Save Money and find Peace by Embracing Artlessness

By DIY Maven

Living an artlessness life. It's exactly opposite of what we encourage here at Curbly, right? Not necessarily. At least not when you consider the art of artlessness as 'living simply and naturally', as Zen Habits defines it. Embracing these ideas and lifestyles can save us not only a lot of money but a lot of stress as well. (Both of which are essential in this economic climate.) It can be distilled down to this: What choices do we make in life to impress others? From clothing, grooming, language, decorating, gifts, work, transportation and electronic gadgets, writer Leo Babauta provokes us to question why we choose to do and buy the things we do. A very thoughtful post, as are all of those on Zen Habits, one of my very favorite websites.

I like this one.  I've been going through similar thought processes recently, so it was kind of nice to read this.
