Ohdeedoh highlighted this little gem of an 'after' found on Junk Camp. The scrap trim headboard and finials are perfect touches. As are the paint job and comfy cushion. Follow this jump to see the entire transformation.

OMG!  Now I have to admit that I have a whole cat/allergy conflict...  but this project is so great that I almost one anyway!

From chair to bed  Here you go Maven. I hope the thumbnails are clickable. If not it's in my photos here on Curbly. A friend of mine saw it in a magazine and thought of me since I repurpose furniture.

I hear you about making room for you cat. Joey jumped on my desk earlier and I had to move some things to make room. Mollee has now taken that spot as her own. I can't imagine being at my computer without them.

Max sounds like he was a great buddy. Although I grumble about her pushing her way onto my lap, I must confess that I make room for her so she can do just that. I'm such a pushover.

I haven't seen any beds made out of chairs. Got a link or an idea in mind?

You are lucky to have a lap cat. I have four cats, one being our daughter's that flew here from Cali when she moved into a house that didn't allow pets, but none are what I'd call a lap cat. Granted Joey and Jazmyn (our daugher's) will get on my lap if I'm watching TV and reclined. Mollee, Joey and sometimes Tommy like laying on my computer desk. I need a larger one though since Mollee takes up so much space she winds up on my keyboard too.

I miss my Max cat. He was a true lap cat. Wherever I was he was on my lap. If when at my computer I'd forgotten to pet him for more than a few minutes he'd reach up and tap the keys to remind he was there. Even with three young cats, all about two years old, I still miss my old Max Cat. He was just short of seventeen when he passed.

Have you seen pet beds made from wooden chairs?

That's great DM! I'd love to make one for my cat too, but I'm afraid she wouldn't use it. Unless, of course, it was setting on my lap. She loves to lay on anything that's laying on my lap. Books, yarn work, etc.

Isn't that adorable? I'm adding this to my list of things to make pet beds from. I have a shop that might be buying them from me! Woo Hoo!
