Moss Carpeting Anyone?

Featured at the 2009 Milan Furniture Fair was this biodegradable moss planter at the Tokyo Fiber Sensware exhibition. Flower artist Mkoto Azuma collaborated with Unitika Ltd. to create Terramac. Terramac, which means 'sons of the mother earth', is an 'eco-friendly 3D knitted and spun fabric which serves as a receptacle for the planter's [sic] roots, protects the seeds, and holds the moss together.' I'm guessing the implementation isn't actually for humans to walk upon, just for feasting the eye upon. Although.. I'm pretty sure my cat would love it. "Look! Big green furry litter box! Mee-yow!"
