How to Make a Washer Necklace (Perfect for the DIY Mom?)
By DIY Maven
Mother's Day is just around the corner and for those mom's who'd rather have a new orbital sander versus a bouquet of flowers, this washer necklace might be just the thing. To make one like the picture above, you'll need:
- 30 to 50 flat washers (I'm guessing they're 5/16)
- 3/4 yard of grosgrain ribbon (I'm guessing it's 3/8" wide)
- This quick and easy tutorial

I once had part of a necklace like this made with African coins (holes in the middle) and a leather strap. I couldn't figure out how to duplicate the technique, and appreciate your including this in your blog.

Yes. I actually like it better with just three washers, which would make it a lot lighter.
