Art Prints from Photo Patterns

By DIY Maven

Gustavo Garcia's concept will allow us to create custom artwork using our personal photographs. That sounds like what tons of other websites do, but it isn't. The artwork is based on the patterns identified in the photos for a kind of pixel/Mondrian hybrid of sorts. Garcia's work will be showcased at New York's School of Visual Arts "Potential Energy: 19 Designers Set Their Ideas in Motion." The exposure is to help design MFA students bring their concepts closer to 'commercial reality.'

Hamachi--As of now, this is a concept, but hopefully it will be available soon. It's a great idea!

Is there a public site or service to convert my photos into such pixelated artworks?

Thank you.
