How to make cold porcelain

By DIY Maven

Until I spotted Diane's post on Craftstylish, I had no idea you could actually make porcelain. Sure, you can do the polymer clay route, but this DIY method is so much more awesome. Diane says cold porcelain is the perfect medium to make small objects and jewelry bobbles.

To make cold porcelain, you'll need:

  • 3/4 cup white glue
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cold cream (like Pond's)
  • 1 teaspoon glycerin
  • 1 cup cornstartch + a bit more for dusting your hands
  • an old saucepan and spoon

To see Diane's entire tutorial, follow this jump. And for some inspiration, check out the creations (like the roses pictured below) by ColdPorcelainDesigns. Amazing!
