DIY Shrink Art Buttons

By DIY Maven

There's nothing more aggravating to a crocheter or knitter than having  to but boring, store-bought buttons on a sweater you've just spend hours and hours making*. Susan over on Craftstylish shows us how to make one of a kind shrink art buttons for those one of a kind sweaters.

To make them you'll need:

  • Shrink plastic sheets (or clean #6 plastic)
  • A round template, about double the desired size of the finished button
  • Hole punch
  • Sharpie type markers
  • Aluminum foil
  • A toaster over

For the entire tutorial, visit Craftstylish.

*Another great alternative that I like to use is crocheting buttons.
