Did you know there were 43 unique care symbols, each indicating different care instructions? We need a veritable care symbol to English dictionary to understand them, and thanks to textileaffairs.com, we have one. You can check it out here or here in slick PDF.

(Top symbol means tumble dry, normal, low heat. The bottom symbol means non-chlorine bleach when needed.)

Thanks!  I like how detailed this is.  I laminated a guide to fabric labels that was courtesy of The Soap and Detergent Association some time ago, but it is not as informative.  The reason I even looked for the information is that hubby had a shirt that had always been dry cleaned and I figured I could wash it.  When I checked the label if was "do not dryclean"!
