How to throw a great Super Bowl party that won't blow your budget.

By DIY Maven

We only watch one football game a year around here and that's the Super Bowl*. And it's for the commercials. Whichever you're a fan of, you can still throw a party to celebrate. That is, if budget allows. To save some bucks and still get your party on, consider these tips from Celebrations:

  1. Throw a pot luck party.
  2. Get your decorations at the 99-cent store.
  3. Don’t buy hard–expensive–liquor and stick to soda and beer.
  4. Forget the fancy football shaped cake from the bakery and buy your desserts in bulk.
  5. Go for cheap appetizers like tortilla chips and salsa; maybe even make inexpensive nachos.

For additional ways to make your party a smashing success, check out the links below.
