Dandelion Light Sculpture

Lonneke Gordijn's 'Fragile Future' is subtitled 'electronics and dandelions', which is the perfect description for this marriage of technology and nature. Made of a collection of LED's, phosphorous bronze and dandelion seeds, the light sculpture has a fanciful steampunk-y quality about it. If it wasn't fabulous enough, the piece automatically shuts off--sort of like a defense mechanism--when people come too close to it. Via.
