DIYable Coffee Table Bookshelf

The inspiration for Matt Carr's ingenious biblioteca bookshelf came from two found vintage coffee tables which he reconfigured into a bookshelf. His very cool 44 x 37 x 11" creation will set you back $725, but I'm thinking if you have or come across some unwanted coffee tables (a note for your next Good Will shopping trip) you could get handy with a saw and make one of your own. Maybe use some dowels to hold the feet to the table below and add some cleats to the wall on which to screw the table tops....? I repeat, cool.
