How to Make a Gypsy Lantern

By DIY Maven

Mia’s gypsy lanterns are so sweet and romantic, they’d be perfect decorations for an indoor or outdoor party. (Can’t you just imagine them decorating a yard for a twilight wedding? Lovely!)  They’re also a great recycling project too. Stuff you’ll need to make them include:

  • light weight cotton fabric (time to use up those scraps)
  • tissue paper
  • clean, empty glass jars of the smallish variety
  • 18-gauge wire
  • sewing machine, or you could sew by hand too
  • cotton thread
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun
  • wire cutters
  • pliers
