How to Upholster a Tape Measure

The clever babes over at Spoonful of Sugar Girls have come up with something you probably hadn’t considered doing before: upholstering your tape measure. So sweet, even non-hardcore-crafters will want one.
What you need:
a retractable tape measure
fabric scraps
cardboard
spray starch
Vliesofix, optional (it's double-sided webbing used for applique)
embroidery floss, optional
thread
