Repairing Walls with LEGO?

Apparently, LEGO have been used to repair crumbling walls in Bocchignano, Italy, a village near Rome. The ‘repair work’ was part of the ‘20 Eventi’ project. Not sure if LEGO are the appropriate addition to a centuries old building? Me either, but it does make one wonder how cool they might look as a decorative element on an interior corner or two.
