'Portly Uncle Fred.' LOL! I just bought a universal remote last week and I saw some that had a protective 'shut-off' feature if one of the buttons is pressed for more than a few seconds, or something. Maybe for a DIY attempt, that should be a clicker stipulation.

There have been cases of remote controls getting down beside a seat cushion and going on fire when they overheated because the buttons were pressed by the cushion, if you see what I mean! This looks a bit like an accident waiting to happen? And what happens when portly uncle Fred sits on it?
