Coffin Couches
By DIY Maven
I don't want to post this. Really. I don't. It's just too macabre. However, in the interest of finding unique interior furnishings, here goes. A company is collecting used coffins that have slight imperfections from funeral homes in Southern California and turning them into couches. If you want to read more, go to Coffin Couches dot com. There, that’s it. Done. Ish.

MHET--'dug up' was for my pal kestrel, who I'm sure didn't think anybody was actually getting 'dug up' either. ;) As far as your trunk creep out...I have the same response to burgandy-colored cars. They look like hearses.

I know they aren't re USING the coffins. It's just the whole shape and all. I was traumatized by having to go with my mom to too many old relatives funerals when I was too young. Scarred!
I can hardly look at a storage trunk without getting creeped out.

No, not 'dug up'. There are health codes, apparently, that discourage re-using. (Insert uncomfortable chuckle here.) I guess it's like scratch and dent, can't sell them inventory. I repeat. Ick.

ummmmm..."used coffins"? As in "let's dig 'em up, they don't need it anymore" kind of used?
