30 Simple Ways to Go Green

Thanks to Green Girl Atlanta, here's 30 easy ways to extend Earth Day into Earth MONTH! Some tips we may not have considered include:
- Reduce waste when ordering takeout by telling them what you won't need, like requesting them to hold the plastic flatware if you're going to be eating at home.
- Make a 'Two Degree Pledge' with your thermostat, meaning determine where it feels comfortable and then set the thermostat 2 degrees higher in the winter and down 2 degrees in summer.
- Buy a rain barrel and fit it under your gutter's down spout. You can use the water collected to wash your car and water your plants--which they'll LOVE, by the way.
- Use discretion when judging if something in your wardrobe is dirty or not. Hey, it just might be wrinkly!

great thought, check out our site http://hippyshack.tripod.com/ we are trying to remodel using salvaged materials, if using old stuff saves on making new it helps
