Recycled Shellfish Shells = Art

By DIY Maven

Maine artist Tamra Philbrook turns reclaimed shells into stunning objects such as flatware handles and serving pieces. She gets her shells ‘via a unique partnership with seafood processors’ and creates a composite with them–kind of like Cambria, I’m guessing. It’s probably just a matter of time before an east coast billionaire commissions her to make an entire kitchen counter top in it. You can read more about Tamra and purchase her products at her website artfulwaves.comVia.
