7 Ways to Kick the Cable Habit

By DIY Maven

Cable, or in my case, the Dish, is expensive. Plus, sometimes, even with all those channels, nothing’s on! These are only two reasons someone might want to punt their cable service. For those shows you just can’t live without, here are some avenues to get your fix for less or no cost.

1. Netflix (of course)

2. Worldwide Media Project

3. Fancast

4. MyEasyTV

5. Surf The Channel

6. Joost

7. the networks' websites

Hey,

I agree that there should be ways to avoid cable TV all the time. I do feel though that you have left off one very important and wicked online free tv site: www.viewmy.tv

viewmy.tv is great and I reckon  far better than any of those! It is completely free, over 1300 channels that are live and the best thing is that you dont even have to sign up to watch them! you just go onto the site and start watching, no downloads!!! Also, why it is much better is that it has its own social network aorund free tv which is really good for hooking up with people to talk about tv and new channels.

seriosuly good with excellent quality, check out www.viewmy.tv

My favorite site for watching TV online is Hulu (www.hulu.com). It requires signing up and waiting for an invite -- took me about 24 hours to get mine -- but it has a pretty substantial library of full-length TV shows as well as a bunch of clips.
