The Fix Its: Make Fabric Stencils Out of Address Labels
By DIY Maven
One of the quickest and easiest ways to embellish fabric is by stenciling it. But instead of buying fabric stencils, I decided to make my own using one of my paper punches, and some address labels. The supplies include:
- Something fabric-y to stencil (I’m using simple cotton napkins I sewed up earlier)
- Acrylic craft paint and fabric medium OR fabric paint
- A decorative paper punch
- Address labels large enough to accommodate punching
- A stencil applicator (I’m using Spouncers)
- Something to serve as a paint pallette
- And a piece of cardboard (to place under your fabric as you stencil it)
Take a look at the project in action!

Bruno: I'm a natural?! Naw. Really? Well...if you say so.... Thanks!
Mod Teach: It was my maiden voyage, but not Bruno's, as you can tell. His editing made my babbling make sense!
Chris: I'm assuming that we'll see the fruits of that new Powerbook in video posts soon ;)

Thanks guys! I thought Maven did a great job! She's a natural.
Chris: yes, that's the new Canon, although I haven't bought my wireless mic yet (audio quality is lacking). More to come! Chris, I can't wait to see some of your stuff!

And....what kind of video camera do you use?
You are so talented!
