How to make a set of ‘Weeble’ salt & pepper shakers out of old light bulbs.

By DIY Maven

One way to recycle those old incandescent light bulbs is by making a pair of salt and pepper shakers out of them. Supplies are minimal and include:

  • 2 incandescent light bulbs
  • 12- 3/8" (cleaned!) hex nuts
  • about ½ cup hard wax (I’d probably use paraffin wax; they stuff they use for canning.)
  • 2 soda bottle caps

The tools used to tackle this project are:

  • gloves
  • goggles
  • hacksaw
  • double boiler
  • drill
  • 5/64" drill bit
