Hat Pendant Lights

Designer Jake Phipps has turned top hats and bowlers into cheeky pendant lights. Made of black wool felt and lined with VO fire-rated polycarbonate diffusers, each illuminated chapeau runs about £210 or 412 US, which, of course, makes me wonder if they’re diyable. Via Hidden Art Shop.

I love these! We bought my daughter a collapsible top hat years ago (for about $75!) and as cool as I think having one of these lights would be, I would hate to cut it. I sure wouldn't pay $400 for one! Maybe I could use a plastic hat from a gag gift store instead.
