NOT your grandmother’s embroidery!

By DIY Maven

My grandmother embroidered everything. She wouldn't have even considered using a dish towel unless she had embellished it with flowers or fruit or something. And although I doubt she would have been a fan of AZEdesign’s messy table cloth, I am. So here it is, spilled wine and everything. From dezeen.

Hey MHET, have you seen this clipping? Could be a great way to use those embroidery hoops!

Well, how relevant you are!  As my latest post "Goodwill Hunting" says, I have been spending way too much time at one of my three favorite Goodwill stores.  What do you think they have had an abundance of?  Embroidery hoops!!  All sizes and some oval shaped too. They are the old fashioned kind made of wood not plastic and they have very tiny screws to tighten up the hoop.  I bought about twelve just because it was a 50% off day and I couldn't resist.

My mom taught me to embroidery at a very early age.  I don't really have the patience to do something as detailed as your tablecloth, but I do like a little embroidery texture every now and then.
