The Art of the Red Bull Can

By DIY Maven

I stay away from Red Bull as caffeine gives me a case of the yips something terrible, so maybe that’s the reason I didn’t know they sponsor an international art competition. The 2007 Chicago exhibit wrapped up a few months ago. The winner: Tsuyoshi Ishikawa’s "Vitalized Dragon". For more information on how to enter your can art in the next exhibit, which will be held in Houston July 11-25, 2008, go to Red Bull Art of Can. Via hemmy.net.

The redbull dragon is so very cool. The use of the cans colors, shapes, and pieces was masterfully done. I just wished the dragon wasn't actually drinking a can of red bull.....it kind of took me out of it.

Anyways, great find. This is truly a very cool sculpture.

Wow! Those are beautiful. Not only is sponsoring the event a great way for the company to get its name out, it's also a great way to promote creativity and recycling.
