Son of a Nutcracker!

By DIY Maven

As a kid, I remember watching my older brothers and sisters cracking nuts the old fashioned way: with a plier, and sometimes, for the really tough ones, a hammer. While doing such, there was always the risk of taking a chunk of shell in the eye, and don’t even get me started on the mess. For these reasons, I eschew the practice. However, the Pike Street Nutcracker set just might provoke me to reconsider my aversion to violent nut cracking. The handy zinc alloy cracker fits into voids machined into the rim of the birch wood bowl, resulting in a very stylish nut presentation. From Amazon ($10) via The GreenHead.
