Attention Woodworkers: Make a ‘Tabloid’ Table

By DIY Maven

The simple design of Timothy Ben’s Tabloid occasional table makes it totally knock-off-able. The website doesn’t say what material is used in its construction, but for a DIY attempt, my first impression is laminated 2" by 8"s. However, at only 200mm high–or about 8 inches–2" x 6"s would be perfect for the legs. Add to that the thickness of the 500mm–or about 20 inch–square tabletop and you’d have the your desired overall height.

I say buy two of those $10 parsons tables from Ikea or Target, and use a jigsaw and a bit of glue, and paint it up!
