For Rent: Only $300K a Month

Recently, Business Week reported on how the really rich spend as much money for temporary rentals as regular folk spend for entire houses. The report suggests that the willingness of affluent leasers to fork over so much dough is do to the need of interim housing while their mansions are remodeled. Others, like Oprah Winfrey and Robert De Niro, who have been known to drop 40 grand a day for a slice of heaven on Nygard Cay (Bahamas), just want a quiet little vacation spot to get away from it all. I’m sure it’s nice if you like that sort of thing, but if I had the cash I’d take Villa Marbella (Spain), which is a steal at 300K a month. I could be a billionare, and I wouldn't spend 40K per day on a vacation. There are so many genuine needs, like poverty, ignorance, want, hunger, disease- that could be solved so easily by a small portion of that cash. There must be a special place in hell for people that spend that kind of money amusing themselves.
