The Pin Clock

By DIY Maven

An offspring of one of those ‘pinhead’ toys that you press your hand or face or whatever into to produce a duplicate image is the Pin Clock. Its face consists of 3,000 pins that lift and retract as the minutes pass to display the current time. A soft ‘click’ of the pins accompanies each change. The clock, available through Signals for $69.95, takes two D batteries which, of course, are not included.

Yeah, this would probably look way cooler in the study or living room anyway. Those pin things are neat! I could play with one forever!

Another good question, bacon. No internal light source as I could tell. Maybe it would be better for the desk, not bedside.

Hey! Neat-O! I wonder how soft that 'click' is? I imagine it might be annoying at night. Oh. And how would you tell the time in the dark? Is there an internal light source?
