DIYable Light Bulb Chandelier Ring?

Until I was about 10 years old we lived in a home that had bare light bulb light fixtures. You know, 100 watts of incandescent glare screaming down from the center of the ceiling? If these Chandelier Bulbs from Kyouei Design would have been around, we could have transformed our heinous fixtures into something kind of spectacular. The ‘chandeliers’ are simple little glass rings that slip over bare light bulbs. Hanging from the glass hooks on the rings are strands of crystals. Of course, at 55 bucks a pop, their price is comparable to some light fixtures. HOWEVER, I’m thinking some wire, glass crystals and beads...TOTALLY DIYable!

Hey atrophie, that Ether pendant is particularly lovely--but 10 grand!! Yow!! Absolutely do-able...and how much less expensive??????

lovely! i've been dreaming of making a DIY fixture between the likes of this and this for a long time now...all with wire, beads, and crystals. i think it's TOTALLY doable.
