Time to re-think round beds?

By DIY Maven

When we hear round and bed in the same sentence, we might think cheese. But when considering Spacify’s offerings of the circular love nest, dairy is the last thing to come to mind. Yes, they’re expensive; however, the frames themselves are quite simple, which means with a little bendy MDF they’re DIY-able. What about the round mattress part? No worries there. Abe Feller’s Fine Mattresses sell round mattresses starting at 1300 bucks, which is much more palatable than Spacify’s 7K asking price.

I wonder how comfortable a round bed is. I suppose it'd take some getting used to... And what about sheets? And comforters? Tuck them in?! Surely, you jest! I just can't shake the feeling that I'm looking at a cat's bed!! And that some humanoid cat is living in the above apartment!!

You know, now that you mention it, I remember seeing a round bed the last time I was at Ikea too! Although, I'm waiting for them to come out with a heart shaped bed  ;) he he he

I was just in Ikea yesterday, and they have a round bed for $800.  If I had one, I'd want to put it on some kind of giant Lazy Suzan and have a Merry-Go-Bed...
