cable troubles

I have a huge problem that is driving me crazy. My problem is a cable problem. See I don't have a television or stereo so I use my laptop for everything from watching movies to surfing the internet to iistening to music. This means It is never stationary and is constantly in a different spot. These cables are usually stretched across the whole living room causeing not only an eye sore but a walking hazard. Power cable, modem cable, telephoen cable, tv cable. Oh my goodness it's sooooo ugly. If anyone has any idea as to how I could mabe fix this problem or better hide the cables because i really don't know what to do. thanks for listening!

um my suggestion is a wireless modem. you can connect to it wirelessly. you can also connect to an aux that way too. OR if its not an option, you can get a cable splitter, and make a hub, leave it stationary and have the cable running to the different areas of the room via extra long cables hidden along the floor, or just skirting the edges of the room. there is a post on here about storage disguised as a baseboard that comes out from the wall a bit. think shelf as a baseboard, but its a box. get it? just search on here. thats a really good solution if you cant get it wirelessly.
