Inspiration Towers

By Cornelius Craft

Inspiration Towers is my second project and it too has filing cabinet drawers. Two to be exact. The point of this piece was to create an area where I could sit down for a minute, look up at some inspiring books, listen to some music, grab a pen, and idea-size! The table is not very deep as you can see, but this is part of the design. This way I don't get too comfortable and end up daydreaming. I am a chronic daydreamer!

These photos don't show it, but I attached an old table-top powerstrip/box to the side legs. Now I can plug five appliances or lights in and they are all able to switched on or off without having to unplug them all the time.

Once again I have video of the creation: http://web.mac.com/dallascornell/Cornelius_Craft/Episode/Episode.html

The final product minus the power box.

It sat here all night while my mind rested on the final design.

Great use for an old, not so attractive filing cabinet.  Now I wish I didn't leave the last two that we had in our old garage.... It also offers a lot of space for magnets... While I don't like clutter, I love cool magnets.
