Copper Piping

Are there any plumbers out there or other peole living in old houses that have had the water pipes replaced? This is going to be my first big dollar update to my house, and since I'm going to have to save up for it, I was wondering if anyone has any idea (roughly) how much it costs. My house is ~60yrs old with mostly old cast iron pipes... it's about 1500 sq ft. Any ideas? »MORE

Eco Friendly Post Its!

  Instead of using up so much paper try virtual post it notes! Its a free download, quick and simple. I downloaded it a couple months ago and i have saved many sheets of paper :) Instead of writing a quick note on a post it note just to discard it a day later i just click on the little icon on my desk top which brings up a post it note and type in my quick note. When im done i just trash it. Saved a little piece of tree :) A lot of pieces adds up to a lot.... »MORE

Because of some behavioral problems, my very neurotic cat sleeps in a very large dog crate at night. It breaks my heart, as I’d much rather have her sleeping in our bed and specifically on my feet, which seems to be her preferred human body part/pillow. Cooperation

I was thinking the other day about the dogs and the shared custody agreement we have with my mom. Basically, the dogs get shuttled back and forth between our house in Minneapolis, and my mom's house in Saint Paul. Every three or four days, she'll come pick them up if she's in the neighborhood, or we'll drop them off on our way to an event on the othe side of the river.   This arrangement works wonders for us, since it gives us some flexibility in our schedules.
