Wee Baby Stuff

By bruno Picture_009_medium

By now perhaps you've noticed the big ad in the side bar for Wee Baby Stuff (if you don't see it, try refreshing the page a couple of times). It's no secret that getting ready for a baby means researching, pricing, and buying a lot of gear. Wee Baby Stuff is a community dedicated to helping new and expecting parents figure out what to buy, and where to get it. Alicia, Lilybee, and ModHomeEcTeacher have taken the lead, writing some great articles that even I find indispensable (yes, it's true, Alicia and I are getting ready for baby, too). But we... »MORE

Turn a Cereal Box into a Gift Box

By Doug Aamoth Fbczynsfjmbzis2

This isn't the first time that people have made cereal boxes into gift boxes (see this Curbly post for more ideas) but this method looks pretty cool in that, when all is said and done, you can't really tell that it was a cereal box to begin with. You'll need a hot glue gun, scissors, and a cereal box. That's about it, so get eating -- that box isn't going to empty itself! LINK:  Gift Box from a Cereal Box [Instructables.com]   »MORE

HORRIBLE Movie, GREAT Apartment

By lilybee Over_her_dead_body_04_hires_medium

Gotta love the in-flight movie. Or really really not. Over Her Dead Body was burned onto my retina's on a flight this summer. It really is a genuinely horrible film. But there was one good thing about it, Whatsherface's apartment had really pretty lantern-style lampshades. See? Pretty. But really the only good thing about the whole film. LED Floor Captures Digital Footprints.

By Chrisjob Sensafloor

Floor designers Sensacell installed a 250 sq. foot interactive LED floor from 1000 of their LED panels at the 2008 World Expo in Spain. Over time, the floors begin to remember patterns and trails of steps, which will either highlight how often we go to the refridgerator, or remind us of our ecological footprint. One or the other.
