A Very Modern Nativity Set.

'Member all those times you've been curled up under a blanket, fire a-rolling with a warm mug of egg nog in your hand, and you look at your mantle, and remark... "I think the Holy Family could use more Helvetica."

Both beautiful and hilarious, these sets are handmade in Germany by Oliver Fabel. Nothing says Merry Christmas like minimalism.

I want! Would that I could manage the website to order a set for myself and my dad - despite his daily church-going, he loves stuff like this. Hm, I may be forced to make my own version.

I'm not really sure what to think of this. My first reaction was that it was sad looking, but decided I should check out the "artists" site first before I made my decision. Guess I'll stay with sad, since I don't speak/read German. I'll keep my beautiful "realist" style Nativities.
