Craft a Week, a new blog from the Craft a Week Livejournal group, offers a how-to for creating a custom mousepad from scratch with easy-to-find supplies. Their example is obviously a bit traditional and floral, but the technique could work on anything from a basic solid color to bold, vintage swatches.
