How To: Create an Art Easel from a Pair of Recycled Crutches.

By Chrisjob

I know this is weird, but when I was a kid, I longed to break my ankle or a foot so I could walk around on crutches. I know, I know, but the kids always got to leave class early, and everyone did all these nice things like carry their lunch tray....

Had I broken something, and were there a pair of 12-year-old crutches in my parents' basment, I'd probably make one of these: an easel. And even though I don't have a pair, the technique could still be applied to a couple scrap 1x2s. Click here for Michele Beschen's tutorial.

I am also desparatley seeking the direction. My kids erased the show from our dvr, and I keep going in a loop here. I emailed DIY and they sent me here.

I can not find what I'm looking for.  The previous page said "Click here for Michele Bischen's tutorial."  So, I clicked there and it DID NOT take me to any type of tutorial!!!  Can someone either help me find out where I need to go to either see the tutorial or watch that particular episode?  I have been looking for it for several months.  I even went out to local discount/thrift/charity stores and bought 2 pair of crutches and now that I have the crutches, I can't find the darn directions to make the painters easle, which only cost me just under $20 for both pair but it really doesn't do me any good to have them if I can't find out how to use them to make the easle.

I really hope and appreciate it greatly, if someone could please help me out.

Thank you for your time and have a very Blessed Day.

Oh how I wanted to have to use crutches. I also thought the cast would have been cool.
