The Solar-Powered Plant.

By Chrisjob

From Inhabitat: "At first glance this energy producing “plant” may look pretty commonplace, but looks can be deceiving. AIST, Mitsubishi and Tokki has enveloped each solar leaf in an ultra thin film to repel oxygen and water which will make it more durable and friendlier to the harsh outdoor environment. If this prototype performs up to par, they are looking at applying this technology from walls and windows to clothes and toys."

And, if you're looking for a little more mature plant, here's a solar tree with photovoltaic leaves.

Maybe it's because I'm taking a break from attempting to understand how our brains work... but a solar powered plant is a little too much for me to wrap my brain around!
