I always get obsessed with having the right tool for the job.  I got spoiled as a teenager working in a well-equipped kitchen, so it's frustrating to have to prep food with a couple of crappy knives, a few pots and pans, and few other tools.  I have a tiny kitchen, so I have to make do with a few well-used tools.  <sigh>
