How To Use a Mason Jar for Quick Blending and Less Cleanup.

By Chrisjob

Check this out: most electric blenders can accept standard mason jars in place of the huge container with which it comes. Simply unscrew the blade housing from the carafe, and attach it to your mason jar (the larger, widemouth ones). Then place on your blender (or liquidizer, as my British friends say), and blitz away! This is great for smaller amounts, like in homemade salad dressing, nut butters, or when crushing spices.

I tested this last night on my two-year old Cuisinart, and it works brilliantly. It's great that it can still work with modern models.

Thanks to Elise.com for the tip and the photos!
