Five Environmentally Friendly Gift-Wrap Options.

By Chrisjob

My whole family hates that I refuse to buy thematic, seasonally-appropriate wrapping paper, with matching ribbons etc. I never quite got the decorum of gift giving (like why buy a gift, then spend an extra ten dollars to wrap it and put a card on top, when I could have just got you a $10 better gift?!?!), but now, we can cite the unncessary waste of disposable gift wrap. DIYLife suggest five environmentally friendly alternatives.

1). Re-purposed paper

2). Gift boxes from re-purposed cardboard.

3). Fabric gift bags

4.) Fabric CD case

5.) Fabric Wrap

for smaller gifts a brown paper bag (the one mom put your lunch in) with some thoughtful little DIY Card tied on with some random string is quaint. Brown Paper grocery store bags not only good to cover your text books but to use a gift wrap for medium sized items (and its great for shiping books). You can spruce up your brown paper up with some stamps or some other clever methods of mark making.
