So...I once painted a ceiling of a lobby black and with the new lights we installed it sparkled like the night's sky.
I'm 24 and I live in Boston which I love because it allows me access to very well-designed products and amazingly creative individuals. I'm the type who gets excited over a fruit bowl and a well-designed phone. I attended school in Oklahoma and moved here 2 years ago. For the past 13 months I worked for Design Within Reach as a Studio Account Exec which allowed me to play with my favorite pieces everyday.
I can't stand trim. Wood trim is just one more thing to dust.
Drop ceilings...can't stand those either. Let's face it, there are very few out there that can be considered remotely sexy.
You gotta love the fact that black made a comeback in fashion and interiors this fall. However, I can't wait to hear about the new black...I hope it's black.

A little about my list. I love great films and good books. There's nothing more spectacular than a truly great film or reading an enthralling tale (save for an amazing bit of furniture design).

But also, the films show the optimistic spirit of their designs and manages to ask questions still quite relevant. These films stimulate thought and discussion, they'd be great for my next gathering of design-minded folk.

Of the many obstacles that face individuals with limited mobility, public transit has to be the most daunting challenge. The buses and trains are simply not designed with the "Public" in mind. For instance, the hydrolic system used to allow individuals in wheelchairs access to trains which are set above ground and only accessible via a staircase (Green Line) is one of the most absurd pieces of » READ MORE

DIY Maven
At least the "lady" (using the term loosely) isn't "using" the toilet...hehehe. (I'm a sucker for bathroom humor!)
