Found these wild looking curtains for .99 cents at a thrift store, along with a 70's floor rug (orange as well - "The Belissimo Collection" by sears! - 1973)

detail on the curtains behind the couch in the livingroom. i love the raised velvet detail. i am not sure i am loving the color combination with the couch, though. maybe a bit bland.

cushion covers from IKEA

I made this panel from a piece of white voile that was in the bargain bin at the curtain store. I then attached sea shells that I have collected on my many travels. I went for the heavy duty rods but it would have worked with cheaper curtain wire and hooks.

I found these shower curtains at a thrift store and paid .50 cents for them. I sewed a border on the top and slid the valance rod thru it.

Curtains make me sweat! They just do. Still, our neighbours should not have full view of us, so what to do, what to do!!! This plant is called a porcelain-plant where I come from, and it is well known for it ability to climb. You can see how it fills our livingroom window now.

Curtains from Pier 1 (love!). Bar from Target (love!) Hand-me-down couch & chair have to go. Hate them. Also hate Studio 60.

We replaced all of the curtains in our house with cordless pleated shades. It looks a lot better now.
