The kitchen of a family vacation home in the California mountains

The $60 vintage Flexsteel couch my husband and I bought for our living room. There wasn't a hole in it and the fabric was in fantastic shape!

Being just one person living in the apartment means I have no real need for as many dishes as I have right now. For some reason I just can't resist some designs from the 50's and 60's. (Especially when they are only .10 cents each!)

My storage closet is jammed full of pottery, glass and lamps. Every so often I rotate the pieces to get a fresh look. Just fooling around with these and thought it looked different. Matching pottery into groups of color was kind of fun..

The clock was $7.00 or so and the other pieces accumulated over the last few years. I realized I had quite a few pieces from the 50's and 60's and decided to put them all together.

This is one of my re-covering projects. I haven't decided on the fabric yet, but I am narrowing it down to a few choices. This piece will be replacing the huge blue sofa in the living room so that I can have more room.

Found this Ib Kofod-Larsen designed chair (imported by Selig) at a "Savers" store for $6.99. It's quite comfortable. The clock in the background is a German teak clock with a pair of matching candle holders. ($4.00 for all three pieces.)
